Cleaning With Baking Soda

• To clean very dirty saucepans or frypans simply add cold water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda to the pan and bring it to the boil. When it is cool lightly scrub with steel wool or a brush to finish cleaning.
• For stubborn oven grime, apply a paste of Baking (Bicarbonate) Soda and water to a warm oven, leave it overnight and then wipe it off. For regular oven cleaning apply the paste to a cold oven, then warm the oven for about 30 minutes and then wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
• You can polish your silverware, porcelain or jewellery with a bi-carbonate soda and water paste. Make sure that you rinse the silverware and dry it well afterwards.
• For a sparkling clean microwave, wipe the inside and outside with a damp sponge sprinkled with baking soda and then wipe it afterwards using a clean damp cloth.
• To restore life to stained tea cups and coffee mugs clean with baking soda and a damp cloth.
• Clean a range of surfaces such as chopping boards, stainless steel sinks, ovens and rangehoods with baking soda sprinkled on a damp cloth. Using a natural baking soda cleaner is great because it is completely food safe and will make your whole kitchen sparkle.
• Cleaning with Baking Soda also works a treat as a natural cleaning agent for bathroom surfaces such as bathtubs, tiles, floors, mirrors, shower screens and sinks.
• Baking soda will make light work of cleaning the BBQ grill. Just sprinkle it on the BBQ, scrub with a damp brush and then rinse clean.
• A paste made from baking soda (or bicarbonate of soda) and water has many household cleaning uses including, polishing the chrome on your car, bike or boat or cleaning walls and wallpaper of crayon and dirty marks.
• Naturally clean the oil and dirt from your hair brushes and combs by soaking them in a mixture of warm water and 2 teaspoons of baking soda.
• To clean the dirt and insecticides completely from your store bought fruits and vegetables wash them in a sink full of water mixed with ¼ cup of baking soda.
