Using Baking Soda For Deodorising

• Clean your dishwasher by throwing a handful of Bi-carbonate Soda into the bottom of the dishwasher. This will get rid of any bad odours and also act as a gentle cleanser during the next wash cycle.
• If you have smelly drains you can use baking soda to freshen them up. Just pour half a cup baking soda down the sink or basin together with warm tap water.
• If your rubbish bin always smells then remove the odours by regularly sprinkling some Bi-carb Soda on the waste.
• A natural approach to eliminating body odour is to put bi-carbonate soda onto any problem areas, such as under your arms. Baking soda as a deodorant will not only absorb moisture from sweat but also help to kill any odour causing bacteria.
• Place a half opened packet of baking soda in your refrigerator to deodorize it and also absorb any new smells. After a couple of weeks replace the pack with a new one. An added tip, though, is to not throw out the old packet but instead pour it down the kitchen or laundry sink to deodorize it as well.
• To remove foot odour try dusting your feet and/or shoes with bi-carb soda. It will not only help to eliminate any bad odours but will also absorb any moisture between your toes when the odour causing bacteria thrive.
• In order to freshen up your children's stuffed toys just sprinkle them with baking soda, wait 15 minutes and then brush it off. Other toys can by cleaned by wiping them with a solution on baking soda and water.
• To remove odour from smelly shoes pour in a little baking soda and leave it in the shoes for 2-3 days to absorb.
• Use bicarbonate soda to deodorise smelly gym and golf bags or even your pet's bedding. Sprinkle the bi-carb soda on, wait 15 minutes and then vacuum it off.
• To deodorise your carpets sprinkle them with bicarbonate soda, leave it for a few minutes and then vacuum it up.
• You can use bicarbonate soda to safely deodorise your dog's or cat's bedding by sprinkling some onto it and them vacuuming it up after 30 minutes.
